Jammin’ Juice Fast

Yes folks, I’m back doing another juice fast. It’s been a while since my last one July 2016. (see previous Lindy Juice Fast here)  But I’m pleased to finally clear some space in my calendar and focus on this.

As a lifetime dancer, athlete and overall fitness nut, I’m always looking to share health benefits of the lifestyle I live. This week it’s my Jammin’ Juice Fast and I’m thrilled to report that I’m feeling fabulous in my 2nd day into this. My plan it to go 7 days on just fresh green juicing.

 

 

Juice requires hardly any digestion, the nutritional goodness gets rapidly into your system while giving your digestive system a rest. Your body can then use that saved energy to clean out your system. Juice fasting gives the body a phenomenal chance to rejuvenate and restore. With this method, healing can be extraordinary…we lose weight, skin becomes radiant, illnesses are healed, and we detox. 

Here are the typical ingredient that go into the green juices

Make sure you purchase all Organic greens as you don’t want the toxins from the pesticides that are used in conventional farming. Plus, the nutrients, vitamins and minerals are naturally derived in the soils that are used. Alternatively purchase from local farmers markets, ask your farmer what types of fertilizers and growing conditions are used. Even if he or she has not paid to be certified organic, they may be using fewer pesticides or green growing conditions. And thus, that is better often then purchasing from a supermarket.

For this fast I was drinking FOUR 16oz glasses a day, plus 1/2 gallon spring water.

This is what typically goes in one run thru my ACME SUPREME JUICERATOR making about 32 OZ of juice. I usually juice about 6 of these superfoods per juicing per day.

1 Red BEET
6 – 8 Stalks of Celery
1 Cucumber
Kale 2 – 4 Stalks (must use Carrots to help feed the kale through the machine)
Ginger 1 – 2 inch section
Spinach
8-10 Carrots
1 Green Apple
1/2 Lemon
Tumeric Root (careful with this because it will stain your plastic containers, so may need to stay with glass only)
